From the Basement of Gideon's Cottage, in order to get into Gideon's Werewolf Dungeon, you must pick up books from the bottom most shelf until you find one that mentions the Magician's Curse; finding this book will let you walk through the shelves/wall in the top left corner to get into the small room that has a ladder leading to the werewolf dungeon.
